• The casing is pressed 1 m into the soil and a working pit is excavated.

• The top plate is removed and the grass of the lysimeter is covered with cardboard and soil. Another steel plate is fixed on the top of the container.

• A stainless steel plate with the sharpened cutting edge at the head for shearing off soil is put into the pit. First, it is pressed underneath the vessel, then the container is pulled on the plate, see figure 2.
